Internship Overview
We are seeking a motivated and creative Marketing Intern to join our team on a rolling admission basis. This is a remote, part-time internship working directly with our Director of Marketing. Interns will gain hands-on experience in digital communications, campaign execution, and the inner workings of a national-level movement.
Hours: ~15 per week
Schedule: Weekdays, with daily check-in
Location: Fully remote
Compensation: Unpaid (college credit may be arranged if available through your school)
Timeline: Rolling admission — applications accepted year-round, start dates flexible
Responsibilities
As a Marketing Intern, you will support United Independents’ communications and outreach strategy.
Responsibilities may include:
Assisting in content creation (graphics, posts, video clips) using Canva
Supporting social media management and scheduling across platforms
Assisting with event promotion (X-Spaces, campaigns, merchandise launches)
Conducting audience and influencer research
Helping organize and manage marketing files, assets, and schedules
Learning to use Go High Level (CRM and marketing automation platform)

This internship is designed to provide educational and professional development value.
By the end of the internship, you will:
• Learn how to run an organized digital marketing campaign from planning to execution
• Gain practical skills in content creation, scheduling, and analytics
• Build confidence in remote collaboration and file organization
• Acquire technical skills in Canva and Go High Level
• Develop a working knowledge of the independent political movement, U.S. government, and civic organizations
• Strengthen your ability to adapt to fast-paced, mission-driven environments
Candidate Profile
We’re looking for students who are:
• Currently enrolled in college (Marketing, Communications, Political Science, or related field preferred)
• Strong communicators with an interest in social media and digital content
• Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
• Excited about civic engagement and political innovation
• Comfortable working remotely and checking in daily
• Has access to a computer and stable internet connection.
